Ellen has been privileged since 1976 to perform children’s concerts and present teacher workshops, seamlessly moving between both the Secular and the Jewish world of Early Childhood. She loves singing with kids. And she loves singing with kids and their grown-ups. Small groups, large groups, schools, synagogues, churches, festivals, libraries, community centers. From the moment Ellen begins her concerts, everyone is singing, dancing, moving and grooving.

Ellen also performs concerts for adults and leads women’s seders and retreats. Combining her love of music, personal anecdotes, and her passion for good health (she’s also certified as a Holistic Health Coach), Ellen creates intimate musical experiences.

Ellen has presented keynotes and teacher workshops at thousands of educational conferences for over 35 years, empowering participants to return to their young students and make music a central part of their curriculum. She shares music from her 13 recordings and 6 songbooks that are super easy-to-learn and just as easy-to-teach. teach Early Childhood professionals (actually, anyone who works with young children) the how, what, where and why of making music an important part of a child’s life, whether in the classroom, at home, at a place of worship or in the bathtub!

Ellen is a Certified Holistic Health Coach, having obtained her certification at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. Though her main work is in the field of music, Ellen integrates what she learned about body-mind-spirit into her work as a musician.

During the summer of 2014, Ellen became certified to teach Kidding Around Yoga and Yoga Yeladim. And then it was only a natural fit for Ellen to integrate yoga into her music work as well.

Ellen has two degrees in education; a Bachelors in Music Education and Performance from Boston University, and a Masters in Education from Arcadia University. She is also trained in the Orff method of music education. She travels throughout the US and abroad, and would love to visit your community.
